39 lottery winners and their guests are now back in Ireland after winning the top prize of a luxury 6 day trip to New York, thanks to the Irish National Lottery’s “Big Money” TV game show.

 

The prize included €2,500 ($3,435) spending money, accommodation at the top rated Sofitel Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, tickets for the smash hit musical Jersey Boys at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway, a four-course meal on board the Princess yacht while cruising the Hudson River, and as much retail therapy as they could handle. They were accompanied by special guests Brian Ormond, who hosted the “Big Money” game show for a week during the summer, and his wife Pippa O’Connor.

 

Since the Irish National Lottery was created in 1986 over €3.6 billion ($4.9 billion) has been raised for good causes around Ireland.
