Eight-five lottery winners – but where’s the prize money!

Friday, January 6th, 2012

Question: Fail to key in a crucial bank security verification code and what happens? Answer: checks get returned unpaid! This is exactly what happened to eighty-five Illinois Lottery winners last week when they tried to cash in their winnings at their local banks!

On Dec. 28, the Illinois Lottery issued eighty-five checks to lottery winners with a total value of $159,000 but because lottery officials failed to key in the required security verification code the banks refused to credit all eighty-five account holders with their winnings – red faces all round I guess, and a chance for the banks in question to make a “nice little earner” from extra charges.

The good news is, immediately the Illinois Lottery discovered the “glitch” they sorted the problem and all eighty-five winners can re-submit their checks secure in the knowledge that the missing security validation code has very definitely been entered and all checks will be now be honoured, in addition the state lottery has agreed to reimburse any bank fees incurred – job done!

Just a reminder that’s there’s a whole bunch of lotteries with some mouth watering multi-million jackpots due to be played later today so there’s no time to waste if you want in on any of today’s lottery action and the simplest, quickest and best way to do just that is right here on-line at WinTrillions.

Powerball lottery ups the jackpot prizes!

Thursday, December 29th, 2011

Have the Christmas festivities – the rich food, the yuletide cakes, the guilt ridden visits to the pie trolley, left you feeling a little over indulged, a touch bloated, a mite stuffed, is your waistline now in need of a little TLC? Is fast recovery of your former impressive figure and immediate loss of the seasonal weight gain, number one on your New Year resolutions list? Then, I can’t help you at all – I‘ve never been any good whatsoever at keeping resolutions!

What I can tell you however is that the Powerball lottery has no such reservations about piling on the pounds and with effect from January 15th in celebration of its 20th birthday, Powerball is getting a complete makeover, with bigger jackpots and better chances of winning prizes.

The current game is designed for an average jackpot pool of $141 million – the makeover will raise that average pool to $255 million; the guaranteed starting jackpot will double from $20 million to $40 million; there will be more millionaires as the second prize for matching 5 main numbers without the Powerball leaps from $200,000 to $1 million and that’s without the Power Play option – take that and the £1 million immediately doubles to $2 million and the odds of hitting a win prize improve from 1 in 35 to 1 in 31.8 – now that’s what I call bloating, with a capital B!

If you’re serious about weight loss, fabulous physique, healthy life style, keeping New Year resolutions, then psyche yourself up in readiness for 2012, on the other hand if you’re just into fantastic figures then the place for those is the upgraded Powerball lottery and the place to buy tickets for that is right here at WinTrillions.

$77 million Powerball lottery winner goes AWOL

Thursday, December 22nd, 2011

How would you feel if you just found out you had won a $77 million lottery jackpot, but then discovered that you were disqualified from ever claiming your mega prize because you didn’t claim within the 180 day validation deadline?

If you’re the Powerball lottery ticket holder with the numbers 24, 30, 45, 57, 59 and Powerball 26, drawn on June 29, and you bought your ticket at the Pilot Travel Center truck stop Tallapoosa, Atlanta, then get in touch a little bit lively with Georgia Lottery headquarters in downtown Atlanta or one of the seven district lottery offices around the state before the door slams forever at close of business next Monday!

Normally all multimillion-dollar jackpots would need to be claimed at either Georgia Lottery headquarters or at one of their district offices but they will close for Christmas from Friday through to Monday; however you can still claim at the Georgia Lottery kiosks at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, located in the baggage claim areas of the North and South terminals. Those kiosks will be open from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Monday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

As a consolation you might like to know that all unclaimed prize money goes back into the prize pool for future games and for special prize promotions, and is ultimately paid out to players.

The man from Atlanta hits another $1,000,000 payday!

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

There’s a popular misconception about lightning and whether or not it strikes the same place twice; apparently whatever attracted the lightning in the first instance makes it more likely to strike the same thing again, for example, lightning strikes the Empire State Building several hundred times a year. If you need more proof; then simply ask fifty year old Delma Kinney of Atlanta; three years ago he played the Super Millions instant lottery and pocketed a very handy $1,000,000, exactly three years later he’s struck gold again by winning another $1,000,000 playing the same instant game!

Kinney purchased the winning lottery ticket at a local Chevron Food Mart while he was there to buy some medications to sort a head cold; checked the lottery ticket numbers and walked out with his second million dollar prize. Wow – that’s a sure fire way to sort a head cold and no mistake!

Father of three Kinney set aside part of his original lottery winnings to establish a college education fund for his children, says he plans to donate part of his new winnings to charity.

You don’t have to live in Atlanta or even hang around with Delma Kinney in the hope some of his luck will rub off on you; just click the links right here at WinTrillions and you can play the biggest and richest lotteries in the world and maybe even tune into a little of the luck from our other 191,835 winners!
