The international organization called Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has given the online lottery California Lotto Plus a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the Fiscal Year 2005-06 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).

The GFOA is an organization without purpose of profit with offices in Chicago, IL, Washington D.C.

The online lottery California Lotto Plus has won this certificate, the most respected one in the governmental accounting and financial reporting area, four years in a row.

Big Prize This Year

Zorina Kroop a business owner from Studio City this year(2007),  in September she became the sixth person who won the online lottery Mega Millions jackpot in the state of California this year. The prize she won thanks to her lottery ticket was the stunning sum of $60 million dollars.

She thinks that the luck she had on the lottery ticket was because of her positive thinking, among other things, besides she have a blue dot she bought out of the National Enquirer and it brings her good luck. The positive way of thinking she also applies it to her life in general, not only to the online lotteries.

Kroop chose the lump sum payment option, receiving a little more than $30 million dollars after federal taxes. She plans to travel to meet the 844 cousins she recently found after running a search on the Internet. She will also hire a skilled nurse for her elderly mother and plans to buy a condo for her aunt and uncle as well as helping her son pay off his home. Kroop wants to donate some of her prize to pediatric AIDS and to research on pancreatic cancer, a disease that took the life of her husband.
