Three $1,000,000 Lottery Winners all living in Port Chester, New York

Lady Luck the goddess “Fortuna” seems to be sprinkling stardust, big style, all over the village of Port Chester, N.Y. Marilyn Garcia-John, 50-year-old mother of three, is the latest Port Chester inhabitant to win a $1,000,000 lottery prize and is the third village resident to win a million dollar prize this year.

Marilyn bought her million dollar scratch card ticket purely on a whim last summer at the Port Chester Mini Mart, whilst on the way home from work and didn’t even scratch the ticket until she was nagged to play by her eldest son who saw it in her bag; even then set the ticket aside until she was ready to collect, some two months later. How’s that for cool?

Marilyn Garcia-John now joins two other Port Chester millionaire residents, Juan Carlos Gonzalez who won $1,000,000 in the Mega Millions lottery last March and Martin Ocampo who played the New York Poker ticket in Aug. and also won a $1,000,000 prize. Although New York State has seen several million dollar plus winners since January this year this appears to be the first time that three local residents won the big prize from the same small village.
