In 1984 November, the California state lottery was introduced after the California Lottery Act was passed by its residents. This lottery act was chiefly designed for raising additional money for supporting state education, rather than imposing an extra tax. Under this act, the California State Lottery is supposed to pay a minimum of 34% of the revenues for supporting public education.
The California State Lottery administers the SuperLotto Plus lottery game since 2000. This lottery game was previously referred to as California Super Lotto. The drawings are held on Wednesdays as well as Saturdays at 7:57 PM. Players need to pick 5 numbers between 1 and 47 together with an additional number. You need to choose the Mega Number, from numbers between 1 and 27. The draw uses two machines as well as two pairs of balls, one along with rubber balls where the numbers are between 1and 47 and the next used while drawing the Mega Number, along with rubber balls where the numbers are between 1 and 27.

X Factor supremo Simon Cowell has jumped five places to rank him 6th in the top ten on the Sunday Times Rich List of Britain’s music millionaires. Cowell’s fortune has risen an estimated £35million in a just year to £200million – but admits that he still plays the National Lottery but ticks the no publicity box so that no one would know should he win.

Cowell remains one spot behind Simon Fuller, who is at number five with an estimated £375million in the bank.

The music millionaires top 50 is headed by Clive Calder with a £1.3billion fortune made from the sale of Zomba Records in 2002; he tops the list after Warner Music Group chairman Edgar Bronfman, who was number one last year, moved to the U.S. and is therefore ineligible for inclusion.

Victoria and David Beckham are up two places to 12th with a fortune of £165million.

The Welsh mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins tops the young music millionaires list of those aged 30 and under with her £13million fortune, up £2million from last year; equal second place with £12million apiece goes to singers Cheryl Cole, Leona Lewis and Katie Melua. Top new entry was singer Adele at joint ninth with £6million.

Of course – there’s a space on the “Rich List” for you, all you need to do is match the numbers in tonight’s lottery fest and your place is guaranteed. There’s shed-loads of cash up for the asking, with your name written all over the winners box – Powerball $245million; Florida Lotto $23million; Indiana Hoosier Lotto $19million; California Super Lotto $16million; Italy’s Super Enalotto $39mllion.

You can buy tickets for all of these lotteries, as well as play many more lotteries from all around the world right here at WinTrillions, but time’s rapidly running out on tonight’s jackpots – so grab your entry tickets right now and be ready to eat at the top table.

$203,000,000 – Say No More!

Friday, October 28th, 2011

After nobody matched the midweek winning numbers in the US Powerball, the top prize once again climbs above the magic $200 million marker to lead the way in this weekend’s lottery league. But Powerball is not the only lottery rollover, tonight’s big US draw is the Mega Millions – up for grabs is a very handy $67 million. The last time the top Mega Millions prize was claimed was on September 30th when the $113 million jackpot was split 50 / 50 between a winner from California and one from North Carolina.

Mind you there’s a whole bunch of other US lotteries offering rich pickings in the next 40 hours or so, including the Florida Lotto $21 million, Indiana’s Hoosier Lotto $18.5 millions, California Super Lotto $15 million and many more – just check out the WinTrillions lotteries page on our web site.

But that’s not all, European lotteries are also stumping up some big money this weekend, so if you fancy your chances in Europe then look no further than Italy’s Super Enalotto, there’s just over 1 day to go and there’s $40 million in the pot, just ready for the taking.

Today’s other big European lottery is EuroMillions, to be drawn this evening; on offer is a mere $36.8 million, which might just see you through the week, providing you’re a bit careful with your spending!

You can play all these lotteries and many, many more from all around the world right here at WinTrillions, but if you want a crack at what’s on offer prize-wise today and tomorrow you’ll need to look a bit lively and buy your lottery tickets sooner rather than later and you’ll very definitely need a ticket otherwise you’ve got no chance at all.

“Lady Luck” lives in San Diego!

Moon over San Diego.Image via Wikipedia

It seems that the elusive “Lady Luck”, the Roman goddess “Fortuna”, is alive and well and has taken a particular liking to the sunny climate of San Diego, California.

According to Men’s Health Magazine, San Diego hits the number one slot in their list of America’s 100 luckiest towns, closely followed by Baltimore, MD, Phoenix, AZ, Wilmington, DE and Richmond, VA.

The Free Dictionary defines luck as “the chance happening of fortunate or adverse events” which makes it a bit tricky to measure, however, mix in a whole bunch of verifiable data and it’s quite possible to nail the sweet-spot. For example, the most Powerball, Mega Millions, lottery and sweepstake winners; most hole-in-ones; fewest lightning strikes; lowest deaths from falling objects and least amount of money lost on lottery tickets and race betting.

Las Vegas, the gambling capital of the country, was placed 7th and another betting hub, Reno, Nevada, weighed in at 10th.

San Diego rather than Rome appears to be, for now, the destination of choice for all who seek answers at Lady Luck’s oracle. So you must either consider moving to San Diego or do the next best thing, play your chosen lottery games at WinTrillions and we’ll send a messenger straight to a lottery store in San Diego, to get a ticket on your behalf. We’ll then send you a scanned copy of your ticket, send you results by-e-mail and notify you of your winnings. That’s got to be safer, easier and a great deal less costly than everyone upping sticks and moving to San Diego just to worship at the oracle.
