There is a lucky lotto winner! The MegaMillion Lottery worth $200 million was hit by a current citizen of the town of Shenandoah.

This is the second largest jackpot in the Virgina Lottery and everybody is so excited about the great news!

“It’s been a very big experience for us today. I got a call this morning and all that we had a $200-million winner. Somebody local,” says James Crump.

Mr. Crump also says: “Does it randomly. He doesn’t put, invest a lot of money into it. But he’ll say, ‘Give me a ticket for Wednesday night or Friday night.”

Susan Plum is a neighbor of Steve and Kathy Williams’ and their daughter, Whitney, and heard the news Saturday morning.

“We’ve been so excited to think of the news of a local person, somebody right here that has worked so hard all their life to win money like this. I think it’s great,” says Plum.

    Congrats to the Williams!!!
I am a co-resident of Shenandoah, and have been playing consistently for many years in hope of win. I could NOT believe my eyes when I drove into the McDonalds Parking lot of the Exxon Gas Station across the street from Shenandoah Elementary School. I saw the 200 Million Dollar We Have a Winner sign in the Window. I always by tickets from that store and am very surprised to see that against all odds that somebody in a town of 2000 population had won. I understand that the Williams are good town people. One is employed at Family Dollar and the other is employed at the Merck Co. Their Daughter is a proud student of VA-Tech Veternarian School. Again, Congrats! And hopefully, you all can pass some of your luck my way ;-). I am next in line in the hopes of winning the next time around.
