A 30-year-old Perth university student in Australia said that she didn’t know she had a lotto ticket worth $10million!

The Australian Broadcasting Corp. has reported that the Australian woman didn’t realize she had a winning lotto ticket! Apparently, her father gave her this lotto ticket as a gift in July 2008. The woman put it away in one of her drawers and 10 months later, she’s been aware that she has lost $10million!

“I woke up this morning worried about our finances,” said the woman, who asked not to be named. “Something made me think to check the tickets and I thought that if I win something, then I could help Mum and Dad out.”

Lotto Winner Will Take Home $41 Million!

On Saturday’s drawing, May 16th, 2009, there was a lotto winner who will take home a prize of $41million!

According to the New York State Lottery, the lotto winner ticket was bought at McLean Avenue store. The lotto winning numbers for Saturday’s drawing were: 11-19-30-45-55-56.

Mrs. Jennifer Givner, a spokeswoman from the New York Lottery, has commented that nobody has claimed the prize yet. However, they believe it is still soon to claim the big prize. It usually takes a couple of days for a lotto winner to come forward.
