The $44 million lottery winner who vowed to give $30,000 to 5 Tim Horton’s employees has, predictably, found many more than 5 looking for cash.

So far a total of 12 employees, both current and past, are claiming to be of the lucky few the lottery winner referenced.

Apparently he was fond of telling everyone he’d give them the money.

Luck for him, he’s disappeared since running off with the check and we’ll see if he ends up giving anything to anyone.

After the National Lottery pleaded for the week-long MIA lotto winner to pick up their pay check the licky winner finally did.

The mystery winner took home 50,000 pounds ($100,000 USD est.) from the Euromillions Lottery and is now going through the validation process.

A National Lottery representative said: “We’re delighted that the winner of this prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win. It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this substantial and life-enhancing amount of money. We would like to remind all National Lottery players to check their tickets every time they play.”

A Canadian Lotto Winner took home a check for $14.8 million and told reporters he plans on giving $30,000 of it to five former Tim Horton’s employees because they always got his coffee orders right.

“I promised them, but do you think they believed me?” 60-year-old Jorma Hogbacka said at a press conference Monday.

Hogbacka said he also plans to use his winnings to travel, buy a new car, and help out his two sisters.
